Jaipur Municipal corporation has completed reconstruction of 250 wards in city. These wards come under Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation and Greater Jaipur Municipal Corporation. There were 91 wards which used to come under Jaipur Municipal Corporation. The civil body has invited people to lodge complaints at corporate headquarters and zone offices from 9 to 20 December 2019.
The state government has taken population as parameter for the reconstruction of wards. Under which 100 wards are assigned to Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation and 150 wards are assigned to Greater Jaipur Municipal Corporation.

Distribution of wards:

In Greater Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Jhotwara Assembly is given 55 number as it is the shortest ward with the least population of 8491. While Sanganer assembly is at 98 number with maximum population of 13,765.

Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation consists the most populated wards with Hawa Mahal Assembly Constituency at number 10. It is the highest populated ward with maximum population of 16571. While, Amber assembly Constituency falls at number 3 with population of 11091.
The boundaries of Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation ward number 1 will start from Jaigad & Amber fort and ends at Delhi road. Whereas it’s last ward number 100 starts Agra Road Chungi Outpost.

This step is taken for the proper maintainence and development of these wards. Although questions are arising on the unequal distribution of population between both corporations.
